Our story
From a dorm room to a movement.
It startedwith a scam.₹500. Gone.
October 2025, DTU. A first-year on our floor paid an advance for an iPhone that never existed. Campus shrugged — “happens to everyone.” That shrug is the reason Pookpit exists.

things campus just “accepts”:
- ✗₹500 advance. seller vanished
- ✗74 group chats, zero plans
- ✗textbook = ₹2,000. used once
- ✗first-years eating alone
- →fix all of it ourselves
underlined twice. circled once.
Built at night.No funding.One rule.
The first version shipped on hostel wifi, between classes and exams — no office, no investors. The rule we refused to bend: every account proves itself with a .ac.in inbox. The gate came before the features.

Today the queue decides where we go: six campuses are mid-unlock, six more are nominated, and the roadmap is public. Every Friday the map grows — exactly as fast as students pull it forward, never faster.
